17 March 2016 7pm to 9pm – Community Event – Kirtan Evening w/ Bhakti Sunset

Bhakti Sunset are a group of Melbourne singers and musicians committed to the practice of Bhakti (devotional yoga), in particular Kirtan (call and response chanting) and we’re very excited they are coming to share the love at Yoga Hut!

Sit, listen and let the chanting wash over you or join in chanting. Absolutely no experienced required.

Doors open 7pm for chai & chat, Kirtan 7.30pm start, finish 9pm. Bring a friend, bring a pillow, pay as you feel $10, $15, $20.

8 May 2016 10am – Post Graduate Training – Yoga Journey w/ Trikaya Yoga

Yoga Journey is a 150-hour, 6-month post-grad course for teachers of other styles or who have completed 200 hours training and would like to deepen their understanding and practice of yoga.

Held one weekend per month, this course will give you a strong foundation in the Teachings Of Krishnamacharya, and broaden your understanding of Yoga, of yourself and of your students. We wil llook at topics such as the practical applicatiosn of the Yoga Sutras, an introduction to therapuetic Yoga practice, Modifications, Mantra, and Understanding the Layers of Ourselves.

This course is Registered with Yoga Australia.

Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra means Yogic Sleep. It is a state of deep rest while remaining aware. The aim of Yoga Nidra is to relieve tension accumulated through modern living. You will be gently guided through a practice that will relax the body and release the mind from the senses. This practice frees you from muscular, mental and emotional tensions creating a state of true relaxation. Yoga Nidra is said to be the doorway to samadhi (ultimate bliss)! You will leave the practice feeling refreshed and energized.

No experience needed, all mats, blankets, bolsters provided.
Just wear comfortable clothes and come prepared to relax. Stay for a cup of ginger tea after the practice.
